Ever
dreamt of building your own plane and flying it? Futura’14 brings you all new Aero-Workshop. Here is a place to give wings to your dreams. Come
join us to make your own RC (Radio Controlled) aircraft in just three days and
take it home. Take your first leap into the world of Aero –modeling.
You will build
a plane which is easy to make, fly and maintain. The plane could be an Delta-wing
with a Wingspan of 74cm and length
of 86cm, it will be medium sized
electric airplane and walk in a novice and go home an amateur aero-modeler and
owner of a ready to fly RC Delta Wing Airplane.
We expect
teams with maximum of 4 members per team. It will be a paid workshop and you
could be required to pitch in Rs. 8,000 per team.
Note:
That the amount you pay is only for the kit required to build the plane
which you will be taking along with you. The kit consist of 1 Brushless DC
motor, 2 servo, electric speed controller, 2 pin horn, 1 propeller, 1 motor
mount, 1 Servo extension, 2 servo connector,1 set of Coroplast material, 1 set of Depron , 1 push
rod and 1 Glue gun.
If you required the additional components such
as transmitter/receiver, Battery and charger please contact the student event
coordinator and you have to pay additional amount of Rs. 4,000 for these components.
PLEASE SEND A DEMAND DRAFT OF RS 8,000 FOR YOUR REGISTERATION TO BE CONFIRMED.

Accommodation and Food will be charged as Rs.
150.00 per day in college itself. No need to take DD.
Uniqueness of the Workshop:
·
Aero modelling as a
practical exercise of
engineering and not just a hobby.
·
No predesigned,
ready-to-assemble aero-modelling kits or blue prints of designs handed out to participants.
·
Design and
fabrication of the aero-model as a consequence of complete understanding and application of
theory.
·
Geometry and design
of the RC Aircraft finalised by the participants using an algorithm developed by Barola.
·
Fabrication of a unique aero-model by
each team.
·
All the RC Aircrafts
will be tested by flying
them, after necessary verification by our trainers.
Hence
the participant would leave the workshop with the confidence of learning and
will later on be able to design and develop his/her own aircraft in various
configurations.
